Hello!!
Wow its completely surreal that I
have 1 final week as a missionary, it doesn't feel real at all. I can't believe
that this huge chapter in my life is coming to an end. There are so many
incredible things that I will miss about England and especially about being a
full-time missionary. Like the heaters in all the bathrooms that warm your
towels when you get out of the shower, teaching the wonderful message of the
Restoration, yorkshire pudds & sunday dinners, the Spirit at missionary
meetings, having the calling and mantle of being a sister missionary, and so
many more things! But I know there are so many great experiences ahead.
Its been a week full of the ups and
downs of missionary work, just what I'll miss :) But I'll have to keep this one
short because its my last real pday as a missionary!
Sister Chantry and I went by one of our investigators this week and she wasn't in, but her daughter answered the door and we started talking to her. She has been through so many difficult things and has really struggled with confidence and insecurity growing up. We testified about how Jesus Christ and His gospel has really helped boost our confidence and we asked if we could share more. She let us in! And we had an incredible lesson, she was emotional and really felt the spirit. She was so intrigued and wanted to know more and said we could come back the next day. Sister Chantry and I were ecstatic because we could tell how much the gospel could help her! We went back to the next day and an angry lady (who was her mom's friend) answered the door and was quite upset that we were forcing them to join a cult.. and some other not nice things were said. We got back in the car and said a prayer for them and our hearts broke a little for our new friend who needs this so badly in her life right now. I do know though, that she will remember what she felt and will have another time in her life to accept it. I am grateful for that experience because I felt a little glimpse of what Heavenly Father feels when we choose to not follow Him.
